Past Perfect Continous Tense

The tense is used for stating the action or the event that has started in the past and still take place in the past too ( Masa ini digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa atau kejadian yang sudah dimulai pada waktu lampau dan masih terjadi di waktu lampau pula )

Formula ( Rumus )

A : Subject + Auxiliary ( had ) + been + Verb 1 + ing + Object + Adverb ( Positive and Active Sentence )
B : Subject + Auxiliary ( had ) + not + been + Verb 1 + ing + Object + Adverb ( Negative and Active Sentence )
C : Auxiliary ( had ) + Subject + been + Verb 1 + ing + Object + Adverb ? ( Introgative, Active and Positive Sentence )
D : Auxiliary ( had ) + Subject + not + been + Verb 1 + ing + Object + Adverb ? ( Introgative, Active and Negative Sentence )

Example

A : I had been studying English hard, she / he / person name had been sending letter, you / we / they had been playing basketball in the yard
B : I hadn't been studying English hard, she / he / person name hadn't been sending letter, you / we / they hadn't been playing basketball in the yard
